D. Prabhakaran MD, DM, MSc, FRCP, FNA

Professor Dorairaj Prabhakaran, educated at Bangalore Medical College (MBBS), the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (MD: Internal Medicine and DM: Cardiology) and McMaster University Canada (MSc: Health Research Methodology), is an eminent cardiologist, epidemiologist, academician and researcher of global repute. He is the Executive Director of Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC), New Delhi, a Distinguished Professor of the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), and a Professor (Epidemiology) at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. Prabhakaran has also been elected President-Elect of the World Heart Federation (WHF) Board for 2025-2026. These centres conduct cutting-edge research to prevent chronic diseases in India and the developing world.

His work spans from mechanistic research to understanding the causes of increased propensity of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) among Indians to developing solutions for CVD through translational research and human resource development. Prof. Prabhakaran is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, UK, a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India, a Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy and an Adjunct Professor at the Emory University. He is a member of the Executive Council of the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) and the International Society of CVD Epidemiology and Prevention (ISCEP). He has received funding from National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), Wellcome Trust, the European Commission and several other international and national funding bodies. He has mentored over 50 post-doctoral and doctoral students so far. He has authored several chapters and over 700 scholarly papers with an H index of 115. He was listed as the topmost researcher in Medicine in India in terms of publications for 2009-2014 by Scopus and Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. He is the lead editor of the Cardiovascular Disease Volume of the latest Disease Control Priorities Project. He is the lead editor of Tandon’s textbook of Cardiology, a comprehensive book on Cardiology for Indian Cardiologists and Fellows. Recognizing his work in Chronic Diseases and Global Health, he was conferred an Honorary Doctor Of Science degree from Glasgow University.

Prof. Prabhakaran has been a part of the Advisory Council for CONTINUUM since September 2024.

Jungbir Singh B.Com (Hons),  MBA (Finance)

Mr. Jungbir Singh, educated at the University of Delhi (B. Com Honours) and the Loyola University of Chicago (MBA in Finance), is a finance and business strategist. He is an entrepreneur with a vast experience in developing new business and remodelling existing business to a new commercial environment. He has the ability to transverse political and commercial spaces for efficient business practice. His skills include conflict resolution, policy building and strategic analysis.

He is the founder partner and director of Celebi Aviation India, which is the market leader in civil aviation ground handling services in India and was started about 15 years ago with European partnership in India. It now handles nine major airports in India with an investment of $300 million and employs over 4,000 personnel.

He is also the founder partner and director of Celebi Air Cargo Terminal, IGI Airport, New Delhi, India. The air cargo terminal is the largest and most modern air cargo terminal of India that handles over 500,000 tonnes of cargo annually and employs close to 2,000 personnel. This 700,000 sq. ft. terminal was modernised to international standards with an investment of $110 million.

He has been nominated on the Central Apprenticeship Council, Government of India. This council handles the Prime Ministers’ primary initiative for developing a skilled workforce across the country. The council is the nodal body under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.

Jungbir Singh was an advisor to a large number of International Conglomerates and provided assistance to them to navigate the Indian business environment. These included Samsung, Polaroid, NAS, UNIT Energy, VANPIC, KEPCO, Korean Aerospace, etc.

Jungbir Singh was awarded the Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji Achievers Award in 2019 by the Government of Punjab, India. This recognition is given to the top 500 Punjabi achievers in various fields including Business and Entrepreneurship from across the world.

Jungbir Singh has been a part of the Advisory Council for CONTINUUM since September 2024.
